Who can invest in CFDs?
CFDs are highly complex and leveraged financial instruments that carry a high level of risk. CFDs are intended for investors who have sufficient experience and knowledge in trading such instruments and are able to understand and accept the risk associated with these leveraged products.
Investing in CFDs is available to eligible customers who have an investment account with Revolut. Eligibility is determined based on a variety of factors.
How can I onboard for CFD trading?
To open an Investment account in the main Revolut app:
- Go to 'Invest' on the bottom menu
- Select 'Brokerage account'
- Follow the prompts to complete the onboarding
After you've taken the steps above, onboarding should take up to 48 hours.
You can also onboard for CFD investing in the meantime
- Go to 'Invest' on the bottom menu
- Select 'CFDs'
You'll be taken to an appropriateness questionnaire, designed to assess your knowledge and experience in relation to CFDs. This will help us determine whether CFDs are an appropriate investment product for you.
Things to keep in mind
We may decide CFDs aren't the right product for you, and deny your application based on the information you provide to us. We do this in line with regulation to protect you from potential losses you can experience with highly risky instruments such as CFDs.
