Cover for delayed trips

Delayed trips

If your trip is delayed due to a reason covered by the policy, you may be entitled to delayed trips benefit.

  • Premium and Metal plan holders can claim for delays of 12 hours or more. You can get up to a maximum of $500 starting after the minimum delay time

Missed connection

If you miss your departure for a trip abroad due to a reason covered by the policy, you may be indemnified for up to $5,000 per night, per insured person, for up to 5 nights. Premium and Metal plan holders can claim for delays of 3 hours or more.

Key exclusions

If you're eligible for cover, you can raise a claim directly with the insurance provider. Learn more in this FAQ. Your cover may not apply if:

  • You can recover the costs from any other source (including if you are refunded with a voucher)
  • You didn't check in before the departure time shown on your travel itinerary
  • You knew there would be a strike before booking your trip
  • You travel against government advice
  • A travel carrier cancelled your departure prior to your departure date
