Managing a Revolut – Kids & Teens account

Accessing a Kids & Teens account

  • Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  • Below your balance, tap 'Accounts'
  • Scroll down and select ‘Kids & Teens account’

To correct your child's date of birth, you'll need to share their birth certificate with Revolut Support via the in-app chat.

Kids & Teens accounts are sub-accounts of your personal account and don't have individual bank account details. They hold one currency, matching the parent's base currency.

Adding a co-parent

  • Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  • Below your balance, tap 'Accounts'
  • Choose the Kids & Teens account you want to add a co-parent to if you have more than one Kids & Teens account linked
  • Tap 'Settings'
  • Select 'Co-parent'
  • Wait for the co-parent to accept your invitation

You can assign 1 co-parent at a time, with up to 3 reassignments allowed per calendar year. The admin parent adds a co-parent, who can top up and monitor the Kids & Teens account, but only the admin parent can withdraw funds.

To transfer ownership, close the Kids & Teens account first, then the co-parent can create a new account and become the admin parent. You can't add a co-parent to the Kids & Teens account on the Standard Revolut plan. See which plans support Revolut Kids & Teens on our plans page.

Closing a Kids & Teens account

  • Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  • Below your balance, tap 'Accounts'
  • Select their ‘Kids & Teens account’
  • Tap 'Settings'
  • Select 'Close account'

Make sure there are no pending transactions on the Kids & Teens account to be able to close it.

Only the admin parent can close a Kids & Teens account.
