If a payment is pending, but the merchant tells you they've cancelled the transaction, very often it just means they won't claim the funds.

Once you tap on the payment in the transaction history, you'll see the reversal date under the payment location.

Often payments are automatically reversed by the merchant long before the specified date, but a payment in a pending state can't be reverted from our side before the specified date.
