Details required to buy a ticket
Journey details
Each ticket has a different set of required details. The customer details required to purchase a ticket depend on the transport providing authority (city), the specific type of ticket and the ticket’s usage rules. Some of the details which are often required are:
- Vehicle side number — this is usually visible on the side of the vehicle before boarding, and is prominently displayed inside the vehicle.
- Line number — this is the line or route number of the vehicle that you may wish to ride. All vehicles following this route will have the same line number.
- Validity duration — this is the period for which your purchased ticket will be valid. Usually options are predefined periods such as “next month”.
- Valid from — this is the date and time from which the ticket would be valid. Select the date and time from which you intend to start using the ticket.
Passenger details
Some tickets require details of the passenger using the ticket. Only the passenger whose details are provided may use these tickets. Providing all of these details is mandatory to use the ticket. Some passenger details which are frequently required are:
- Basic information — such as full name, date of birth or address of the passenger.
- PESEL — this is your national identification number.
- ID Number — this field requires your ID number from any national ID card or document. You may be requested to display this ID to verify your identity and ID number.
