You'll need permission from the bank to sell, rent, or make changes to the property. You can request permission via chat, and a mortgage manager will explain the process based on your request.

We'll carry out a few checks and issue the document as soon as possible, or we'll let you know if we need anything else before it can be issued. This can take up to 5 working days.

Getting permission to refinance with another bank

If you're looking to refinance your mortgage loan, you'll need permission from your initial lender. This can be requested via chat. This refinancing permission confirms exactly how much you still owe, which lets your new lender move forward and formally secure your property for the new loan.

You don't need to ask for permission if you already qualify for simplified refinancing. The new bank you want to transfer your mortgage to will handle all the necessary permissions and paperwork for you.

How to make changes to a mortgage agreement

If you want to make changes to your mortgage loan agreement, we'll need to assess your new financial situation, and you may need to fill out an application. You'll also need to give some information about the changes you want to make.

Start a chat to let us know about the changes you need, or how your situation has changed. A mortgage manager will explain the process based on your request.
