You can add money to your Revolut account from personal external bank account only if it is in your name. Due to that, it is not possible to add money with a shared or joint bank account. The only exception is if you have Revolut joint account. In this case you will be able to transfer funds from a joint account to your personal Revolut account. You can read more in 'Joint accounts'.
