Requirements for ID verification

  • The full name (first name, middle name, and last name) on your ID document must match the name on your application
  • Documents must meet the validity requirements listed below
  • ID documents must not be damaged or blurry
  • Any photo ID must be clear with all the required details are visible

Supported ID verification documents

If you have a personal Revolut account and you register for a Business account using the same phone number, you could link your profiles, and we'll copy some of your personal information into your business profile.

You might still need to verify your identity for a Revolut Business account even if you have a personal Revolut account.

If your business is incorporated in UK, Switzerland or the rest of the EEA:

  • National ID, passport, valid for at least 1 month from date of application
  • Other documents, such as Visa or residence permit – valid for at least 3 months from date of application.

Documents we can’t accept

  • Short-term, tourist, seasonal worker, and UK student visas
  • Estonian e-residency cards and student resident permits
  • Applications to extend a visa or permanent residency won't be accepted unless the decision to stay has been granted

Tips for uploading a video selfie

  • Update your app to the latest version if you’re using our mobile app
  • The video should be clear, in colour, and recorded during the verification process
  • The video is recorded in good lighting and in a quiet room

How long will verification take?

The estimated time for verifying your identity is up to 24 hours. If you don’t receive an email to say we have completed your identity verification, have a look in your Home tab to make sure you have no additional requests from us.
