How to prevent fraud
If you get a suspicious call, email, link, or text from someone pretending to be from Revolut, we recommend staying vigilant and not clicking on any links. This keeps your information safe and helps us combat cybercrime.
Best practices when shopping online
- Be wary of 'too good to be true' offers
- Never share PINs, passwords, or passcodes via phone or chat
- Verify websites and sellers through reviews
- Inspect high-value items in person or via video call with documentation
- Type URLs directly, avoid unsolicited links
- Pause payment if Revolut flags payee issues
If you've fallen victim to a scam, follow the below steps.
Secure your Revolut account
- Stop communication with the scammer.
- Freeze your card by tapping the card icon in the top-right corner, selecting the card you want to freeze, and tapping 'Freeze'. Alternatively, you can terminate it by going to 'Settings' and tapping 'Terminate card'.
- We recommend reporting the matter to the police.
Report the fraudulent transaction in-app
- Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
- Select the transaction from your transaction list
- Select 'Get help'
- Choose the most relevant option
