Why was my transfer refunded?

There are several reasons why a transfer may have bounced back or reverted. Please always double check if:

  • The account details are correct
  • There wasn’t any change
  • Beneficiary's account is still up and running on that specific bank

If the recipient's bank rejected the transfer, you should communicate with the recipient to contact the receiving bank for more details.

If some of the details don’t match the ones from the recipient's account, you may see a ‘Refund’ or 'Reverted' on your Transactions history. If you want to know the specific reason why that transfer was unsuccessful, click on the transfer in your Transactions list and see it's info panel, or raise a request with our support team.
