My transfer failed, but the refund hasn’t arrived in the sender's account yet

Depending on the currency and beneficiary bank, the refund time will vary.

The original sender bank might still be processing the money. Some banks are slower than others, and might take longer to process the refund.

Please find the average refund processing times below for failed transfers:

  • Local GBP currency transfers usually take around 1-2 working days
  • Local EUR currency transfers usually take around 1-2 working days
  • International (SWIFT) transfers usually take 3-5 working days

Unfortunately, we’re not always able to provide the reason for a refund straight away, but once the refund is completed, the reason will appear under the transaction in your Revolut app.
