Revolut <18 card management

Control your child's spending

You can set monthly spending limits, receive instant notifications for your child's transactions, and freeze the card or adjust security settings if needed.

Set a monthly spending limit:

  1. Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  2. Under your balance, tap 'Accounts'
  3. Choose your child’s <18 account and scroll to your child's card
  4. Tap 'Settings'
  5. Select 'Spending limit'

Revolut <18 cards are intended solely for the cardholder named on the card. If you need to access funds from a Revolut <18 account, simply withdraw the money back into your own account.

Lost or stolen Revolut <18 card

You can instantly freeze a Revolut <18 card from the main Revolut app:

  1. Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  2. Under your balance, tap 'Accounts'
  3. Choose your child’s <18 account and scroll to your child's card
  4. Tap 'Freeze'

If the <18 card is definitely lost or stolen, we recommend freezing it right away, terminating it, and ordering a new one. Order fees may apply for the replacement card. 

Apple Pay or Google Pay

To link <18 card to Apple Pay or Google Pay, your child needs to be at least the minimum age:

  • Minimum age to use Apple Pay: 13
  • Minimum age to use Google Pay: 13

To link the Revolut <18 card to Apple Pay or Google Pay, your child will need to:

  1. Log in to their Revolut <18 account
  2. Tap the card icon in top-right corner
  3. Select 'Controls'
  4. Scroll down and add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay (whichever applies)

If you freeze your child’s Revolut <18 card, payments made through Apple Pay or Google Pay will be disabled.

ATM withdrawals

With their Revolut <18 card, your child can withdraw cash from ATMs that accept Visa or Mastercard. Be aware of possible fees from ATM operators.

Withdrawals can’t be made with Apple Pay or Google Pay. Your child will need to have their physical Revolut <18 card and PIN code.

Fees apply if your child exceeds their currency conversion or withdrawal limits, and there is an extra fee for currency conversion outside of FX market hours (Friday 5pm to Sunday 6pm).

To block ATM withdrawals for your child, choose your child's '<18 account' in-app, go to 'Settings', select 'Card controls', and disable the toggle for ATM withdrawals.
