Earning interest with Savings

How do I start earning interest with Savings?

In order to start earning interest on your Savings Vault, you'll need to move money from your main account or other Pockets into your Savings Vault. Check this FAQ to see how to add money to your Savings Vault.

What is the interest rate?

The interest rate on your Savings Vault depends on your plan. If you change your plan, your rate may change when the plan change comes into effect. Revolut may receive additional interest beyond what is paid to you.

Your annual interest rate is used to calculate your daily earnings. In Mexico, we also show:

  • GAT Nominal (annual compound interest rate)
  • GAT Real (inflation-adjusted interest rate, as required by Mexican regulation)
  • These are viewable in our terms and conditions

How is the interest calculated and paid?

Interest is compounded and paid daily. You earn 1/360th of the annual interest rate on your daily closing balance, in line with Mexican banking standards.

If the daily interest is below 0.01MXN, it will be accrued but not paid until the total exceeds that threshold.

Where can I see my interest earned?

You'll see a single transaction per Savings Vault, so you can track how your money has grown in the past. To see your interest transactions, go to your Savings Vault and select the interest paid transaction. You'll see the daily interest paid, as well as any tax withheld.
