What are transaction limits?

A transaction limit is a limit you can set on how much money can leave your account. You can set daily limits or limits per transaction. It adds an extra layer of security to your transactions, and it’s flexible — you can adjust it anytime to fit your lifestyle or needs.

You can set up and manage your limits directly in the app. Here’s how they work:

  • Daily limit: applies to all outgoing transactions and resets every 24 hours
  • Transaction limit (MTU): applies to each individual transaction made in-app

How to set or change your daily limit

  • Tap your profile icon in the top left corner
  • Tap 'Security'
  • Select 'Transaction limits'
  • Choose 'Daily limit'
  • Enter the amount you want to set as your new daily limit
  • Complete a quick verification to confirm the update

If you try to make a transaction that exceeds your daily limit, you’ll need to update the daily limit first before the transaction can be completed.

How to set or change your transaction limit (MTU)

  • Tap your profile icon in the top left corner
  • Tap 'Security'
  • Select 'Transaction limits'
  • Choose 'Transaction limit'
  • Enter the amount you want to set as your new transaction limit
  • Complete the verification steps required to confirm the update

If you try to make a transaction that exceeds your transaction limit, you’ll be asked to enter a one-time code to confirm that you want to proceed.

Important information about your transaction limit (MTU)

This limit is required for your account’s security. If you don’t set it yourself, Revolut will automatically assign one with a previous notification. You are free to change this limit at any time and set it to any amount, as often as you wish.
