Why is Revolut changing my CLABE?

Why is my CLABE changing?

Revolut is improving its integration with Sistema de Pagos Electrónicos Interbancarios (SPEI). From now on, we'll be able to process SPEI transactions directly with Banxico.

For that reason, we're issuing a new CLABE to all our customers in Mexico. This will make your payments faster and offer enhanced support if you ever need it. You'll use the same CLABE for local and international transfers. Impacted CLABEs are:

  • CLABE - new one will be issued
  • Credit Card CLABE - new one will be issued
  • International account number - will become the same as your CLABE

What do I need to do?

Make sure that anyone who pays you has your new CLABE details and that you use the new CLABE for transfers.

You'll be notified once the new CLABE is available to you.

When will my previous CLABE stop working?

Your previous CLABE will work for up to 2 months once the new one is issued. We'll remind you about it.

After the 2 months, any payment sent to the old CLABE will fail to reach your account. To avoid any delays in getting your money, we recommend sharing the new CLABE with your contacts.

How to find my new CLABE?

Open your Revolut app:

  • Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  • Your new CLABE appears right below your MXN balance
  • You can also tap 'Details' to see it with the rest of your account details and copy it

For Credit Card CLABE, you're able to find it when you select 'Pay with SPEI' under your credit balance. For international transfers, share the same CLABE with the BIC or SWIFT code shown in 'International' in 'Details'.
