While it is not mandatory for the integration, if you want to see the typical 5-digit accounting category code, go to 'Settings', and select 'Categories' in Moneybird to make sure each category’s current code is filled in and not empty.

If your category’s current code in Moneybird is empty, we'll retrieve an 18-digit external ID instead. This won't match the 5-digit code you expect to see.

You can also speed this up in your Moneybird account by going to 'Settings', seelcting 'Categories', and then selecting 'Edit ledger scheme' to fill in default codes, so Moneybird applies codes automatically.
