Do I need to do anything before connecting with Moneybird?

While it isn't mandatory for the integration, if you want to see the typical 5-digit accounting category code from your Moneybird account, go to 'Settings' → 'Categories', and ensure each category’s current code is filled in.

If your category’s current code in Moneybird is empty, we'll generate an 18-digit external ID instead. This won't match the 5-digit code you expect to see.

You can also speed this up in your Moneybird account by going to 'Settings' → 'Categories' → 'Edit ledger scheme' → Fill in default codes so Moneybird applies codes automatically.
