How does the expenses integration work with Moneybird?
Revolut Business integrates with Moneybird to sync your data between the platforms. This helps streamline your bookkeeping as your Business expenses will be automatically sent to Moneybird, so your records match on both platforms.
Import data from Moneybird
Once you set up the Moneybird integration, your Moneybird accounting settings will be synced and applied to your Revolut Business accounting settings. The Moneybird integration imports the following data:
- 'Categories' into 'Accounting categories'
- 'Vat rates' into 'Tax rates'
- 'Project' into 'Labels'
You can review and update imported data anytime in your Revolut accounting settings. You can also hide categories from team members using the 'Visible for submitters' toggle.
Export data to Moneybird
Once you've set up the expenses integration, new expenses will automatically be marked ‘Configured for Moneybird’ and then sent to Moneybird once they're done.
All expenses (card expenses, transfers, reimbursements requests) are exported to the ‘Incoming’ section in your Moneybird account.
Help with exports to Moneybird
- Revolut Business automatically sends expense and reimbursement receipts as attachments to Moneybird. Only the first receipt of the expense is exported
- Card and transfer expenses stay marked as 'Ready to export' until the transaction's complete
- Split expenses are exported as line items, with the correct accounts and tax rates. For more details, read this FAQ
- Once exported to Moneybird, the expense cannot be edited anymore. Any corrections need to be made in Moneybird directly
