Help with an iDEAL deposit
For more help with your deposit, tap the transfer in your in-app transaction history and select 'Get help'.
A pending iDEAL payment will eventually get marked as either completed or failed. If completed, the deposit will be credited to your Revolut account. If failed, the money should remain in your external bank account.
Failed deposits are usually returned to your external account within 3 business days, but can take up to 5 business days to reflect in your account.
Failed iDEAL deposits
If your iDEAL deposit failed, tap the transaction in your in-app transaction history for more information on the specific reason for failure. The most common reasons that iDEAL deposits fail are a name mismatch or insufficient funds in your external bank account.
If the name on your bank account doesn't match the name on your Revolut account, we have to properly collect your information, which means your full legal name needs to be reflected in your Revolut account. If it's not already accurate in the Revolut app, you'll need to update it.
We use your ID document to verify that information, so we don't accept abbreviations. If an abbreviation is listed on your external bank account, we suggest contacting your bank to update this and have your full legal name listed. If you're unable to add money via this method, try other methods.
