My iDEAL deposit has failed

If your iDEAL deposit failed, please look into the transaction in the transactions list to get more information on the reason for failure.

The most common reasons that an iDEAL deposit fails are:

  • The name on your bank account doesn't match the name on your Revolut account - we have to properly collect your information, which means your full name legal name has to be reflected on Revolut account. We use your ID document to check the information, so we don't accept abbreviations. If the abbreviation is being used on your bank account, we can suggest contacting your bank to update and reflect the full legal name.
  • Insufficient funds in your bank account

If your deposit wasn't successful, the funds usually bounce back within 3 working days, however in some exceptional cases it can take up to 10 working days.
