Declined card payment isn't visible
If your card is declined, but the declined transaction isn't showing in your app, it's probably because:
- The merchant is experiencing technical issues
- The merchant declined the transaction because of geographical restrictions or security controls on their side
- The merchant couldn't accept your card because of the format (e.g. single-use or virtual card) or because it's a Revolut card
- Your card is physically damaged (only affects physical card payments)
Troubleshooting
Switch payment methods
- If you are paying in person, try chip and PIN, contactless, Apple Pay or Google Pay
- If you're paying online, try entering your details manually or using Apple Pay or Google Pay
Use a different card
- See available cards here
- Create a virtual card here
- Add another card from your cards list to Apple Pay or Google Pay and try to pay

Card damage
If you're trying to pay with your physical card and the same method (chip and PIN, contactless, or swipe) continues to fail, check for damage and consider ordering a replacement card in-app. Fees may apply.
