Credit card repayments
Statement balance
This is the total balance at the end of the statement period. Paying your statement balance in full by the due date is the best way to keep the interest-free period on your purchases.
If you've previously lost your interest-free period, paying the full statement balance can help you regain it.
Minimum repayment
This is the minimum amount you need to pay by the due date. Make sure you pay at least the minimum repayment each month to keep your account from going into arrears and prevent potential spending restrictions.
If you choose to make a repayment amount that doesn't pay your statement balance in full, you'll lose your interest-free period. If you exceed your credit limit, any amount over that limit will be added to your minimum repayment. We'll allocate repayments according to your credit agreement.
Go to your credit card account, select 'Info', and then 'Documents', select 'Information about rates', and tap 'Agreement'.
Monthly payment due
Your monthly payment due is the amount you need to repay each month. This includes the minimum repayment and any overdue balance.
