How long will my outbound transfer take to arrive?

Important notes

  • Banks usually don't process transfers on weekends and bank holidays
  • Internal checks can cause your transfer to remain pending for longer than usual
  • Intermediary and Banks may also need to run additional checks on your transfers to comply with their regulations, which can cause delays in settlement

Usual timeframes per transfer type

  • Payments between Revolut customers are instant
  • EUR transfers from SEPA countries: within hours – up to next business day
  • GBP and USD transfers: within hours – up to 2 business days
  • International transfers (SWIFT): can take up to 2 business days

Transfers initiated over weekends or bank holidays may experience delays. Sometimes, if your money is due to arrive on Friday, it may not show in your recipient's account until the next Monday.

If there's ongoing maintenance or an outage on the receiving side, there may be delays, even for instant transfers. You can check the status of Revolut’s services here.
