What is BLIK and how can I use it?

What is BLIK

BLIK is a domestic solution that can be used to make payments in Poland. Merchants outside Poland won't accept a BLIK code for payment.

You should avoid sharing your BLIK code unless you intend to complete a payment with a merchant in Poland who can accept BLIK payments. BLIK can be used for online and in-store payments and for withdrawing cash from ATMs.

BLIK is available as a payment option for Revolut customers who provided a valid national ID, passport, or residence permit (for any European country) during the verification process. A driver's licence isn't a valid ID for document verification.

How to use BLIK

To start using BLIK payments, you must:

  • be a resident of Poland
  • create a PLN account to see the BLIK button
  • have an Android or iOS phone
  • review and approve BLIK T&Cs when setting up for the first time
  • have provided the necessary documents for our verification checks, or upload them when prompted

To make BLIK payments, go to 'Home' on the bottom menu, tap the BLIK logo under your balance and accept the T&Cs.

Where to find a BLIK code?

On your Revolut 'Home' screen, you'll find a BLIK logo under your account balance. Once you tap this, the BLIK code will be displayed. It's a one-time, 6-digit authorization code. Each code is valid for 2 minutes. After it expires, you can easily generate a new code.

Fees

BLIK in-store and online payments are free, but ATM withdrawals incur a 2% fee (or a minimum fee of PLN 5). Additional fees may apply from the ATM operator, and Revolut cannot control those fees.

If any fees apply to your payment, you can see them on the payment confirmation screen at the ATM or in the transaction details in-app.
