Can I change my credit card limit?

How can I increase my credit limit in-app?

  • Go to 'Credit Card' home screen
  • Tap the 'Info' icon
  • Select 'Credit card limit'
  • Select 'Apply for a limit increase'

You may be asked to provide additional data, such as a credit bureau consent or updated income information. We need this information to fully assess an application for a higher credit card limit.

As this feature is being gradually rolled-out, it may not be available to everyone just yet. If you can't see it in your app, please wait for upcoming updates. Our customer support agents won't be able to manually increase your limit.

How can I decrease my credit limit in the Revolut app?

  • Go to 'Credit Card' home screen
  • Tap the 'Info' icon
  • Select 'Decrease credit limit'

Once your limit is decreased, it can’t be raised back to the original amount for some time and will be subject to a successful assessment of your credit limit increase request.

If you’d just like to manage your spending, you can use our Spending Control feature instead.

Why was my credit limit decreased?

We regularly review accounts to promote responsible credit management. Factors such as account activity, repayment patterns, and overall credit profile may lead to a limit adjustment.

We’ll let you know in advance if your credit limit is being reduced, and share steps you can take to prevent it (if applicable). To help maintain your credit limit, we recommend:

  • Keeping your Revolut account active
  • Using your Revolut credit card regularly
  • Making payments on time for all credit products with Revolut

Can I request to have my previous credit limit restored?

Once your credit limit has been decreased, it can’t be reset to the previous amount. We’ll always notify you in advance and guide you on how to avoid a reduction.

However, you can ask for your credit limit to be decreased back to the previous value after it’s been increased.
