Revolut <18 payments
How do <18 payments work?
<18 accounts are sub-accounts of your personal account and don't have their own account details. Your kid can send payments to other <18 customers with the same base currency. They can't send payments to adult customers on the Revolut app or receive regular bank transfers.
Enable payments in your kid's <18 account
- Go to 'Payments' on the bottom menu
- Tap 'Discover payments' and select 'Add phone number'
- Have your kid enter their phone number and tap 'Continue'
- Tap 'Allow access to contact' for syncing
To send payments in your kid's <18 account
- Go to 'Payments' on the bottom menu
- Tap 'New' to select a recipient or choose one from the suggested section
- Enter the amount and add a note and/or a GIF
- Tap 'Send'
Transactions to unfamiliar recipients require approval from both you and the recipient.
Minimum age for payments
<18 payments are offered to kids 13 years old and older. We also require the kid's phone number to be added to Kids & Teens to use the feature.
Based on your country, this can be done directly by your kid, once they're at the required consent age or older. If they’re under the required consent age, we’ll ask for your consent first before your kid's phone number can be added to enable this feature.
<18 payments are subject to account limits, based on local T&Cs.
