Revolut Personal Loans
Revolut offers unsecured personal loans between the values of €1,000 to €30,000. You can apply for and manage your loan through your Revolut app.
Loan conditions, including interest rates, will depend on your individual circumstances and risk profile. You need to submit an application in-app to get a loan offer. You'll be able to review the final offer before accepting the loan.
Requirements for loan eligibility
- You have a NIF and can prove it with a valid document (citizenship card, NIF declaration, or tax declaration)
- You permanently live in Portugal and your current address is linked to your Revolut account
- You're at least 18 years old at the time of applying, and not older than 70 at the end of contract
- You're employed (full-time, part-time, retired, or self-employed) with a regular income. You don’t need to receive your income into your Revolut account
- You're a customer of Revolut Bank UAB for at least 30 days
- You have no personal details missing from your Revolut account
- You have a local mobile phone number linked to your Revolut account
- You have no negative balances in your Revolut account and no overdue commitments to third parties
How to apply for a personal loan
- Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
- Below your balance, tap 'Accounts'
- Tap 'Add new'
- Select 'Personal loan'
- Fill out the short application
- If requested, link your salary bank account via secure Open Banking. This is required for us to verify your income
Our manual credit underwriters may need to do some credit checks and review your application. If we need more information from you, we'll reach out via email. If we need additional documents, you'll be able to submit them in-app.You should get a decision via email/in-app within 2 business days.
Loan applications are not reported to the Credit Bureau and do not impact your credit report. Only loans that are accepted and disbursed will be communicated to Banco de Portugal.
If your loan application is approved
If your loan is approved, your offer may be different to what you applied for. You'll be able to review the terms and accept, reject, or edit the offer. You need to finalise the process by:
- Viewing the offer
- Editing the offer (if needed)
- Reading the pre-contractual documentation
- Accepting the offer by signing the contract
- The disbursement will be available in your Revolut account immediately
While reviewing your application, we consider your existing debts, expenses, and income. If we determine that the amount and term you initially asked for may lead to financial difficulties, we'll adjust the offer accordingly. Our decision is final and can't be changed by our Customer Support agents.
