Revolut — Kids & Teens sub-account payments
How do Kids & Teens sub-account payments work?
Kids & Teens sub-accounts are sub-accounts of your personal account and don't have their own sub-account details. Your kid can send payments to other sub-account customers with the same base currency. They can't send payments to adult customers in the Revolut app or receive regular bank transfers.
Enable payments in your kid's Kids & Teens sub-account
- Go to 'Payments' on the bottom menu
- Tap 'Discover payments' and select 'Add phone number'
- Have your kid enter their phone number and tap 'Continue'
- Tap 'Allow access to contact' for syncing
To send payments in your kid's Kids & Teens sub-account
- Go to 'Payments' on the bottom menu
- Tap 'New' to select a recipient or choose one from the suggested section
- Enter the amount and add a note and/or a GIF
- Tap 'Send'
The first transaction to unfamiliar recipients will require approval from both you and the recipient.
Minimum age for payments
Kids & Teens sub-account payments are offered to kids 13 years old and older. We also require the kid's phone number to be added to their profile to use the feature.
Based on your country, this can be done directly by your kid, once they're at the required consent age or older. If they’re under the required consent age, we’ll ask for your consent first before your kid's phone number can be added to enable this feature.
Kids & Teens sub-account payments are subject to sub-account limits, based on local T&Cs. Service provided by Revolut Bank UAB - branch in Portugal, registered with Bank of Portugal under number 3560.
