Nature of business verification
Verifying your business activities
During onboarding, as part of your nature of business verification, you'll need to select the category and subcategory that aligns the most with the type of products and services your business offers. You'll then be asked to provide a detailed description of the products and services your business offers, and its main source of revenue.
Holding companies
If you're a holding company, you'll need to provide a full list of any subsidiaries which your company owns over 25%. You'll also need to disclose their nature of business (along with the relevant supporting documents) and their country of incorporation. You can learn more in this FAQ.
Newly incorporated companies
If your company was registered within the last 6 months and you don't have any of the proof documents listed below, see this FAQ.
Accepted proof of nature of business
The documents you provide should clearly indicate your business' products and services and must be valid at the time of application. Please submit one of the following:
- A link to an active and unrestricted website or online sales platform. Learn more
- An invoice with a matching bank statement confirming the transaction was paid into the Business account. It must be in the business' name and dated within the last 6 months. We recommend highlighting the invoice payment on the bank statement. Learn more
- A contract with a customer signed by both parties and dated within the last 6 months
- A supplier agreement signed by your supplier and dated within the last 12 months
- Supplier invoices dated within the last 6 months
- Proof of regulation
- A franchise contract
- An official licence
- Court documents dated within the last 12 months
- Insurance contract or certificate from insurer
- Association membership
- Financial statements or annual reports for the most recently completed financial year
- Trademarks registration document
How long will the verification take?
The verification process can take up to 24 hours. After this timeframe, if you haven't received an email from us confirming your verification is completed, please check your 'Home' screen in the Revolut Business app to make sure you have no pending requests for information.
