Getting a Portuguese IBAN

Since we've launched our Portuguese branch, customers residing in Portugal may now have their accounts migrated to this branch and receive Portuguese (PT) IBANs for each of the accounts they hold with us. This will allow customers to:

  • receive their salary directly into their Revolut account
  • make payments via Direct Debit and pay utility providers
  • avoid additional paperwork often required for non-PT IBANs when using their Revolut account for other purposes

Eligibility criteria

Your country of residence must be Portugal and you’ll need to give your consent to be migrated once you receive an email from us.

If applicable, you may also be asked to provide documents to verify your identity, occupation, employer, address, or other nationalities. You’ll also need to read and accept the new Terms applicable for the Portuguese Branch.

You won't be able to migrate to the Portuguese branch until you complete these steps. In the case of joint accounts, both account holders must complete the process for the joint account to be migrated.
