How will the Romanian branch migration affect my payments?

Once you're migrated to our Romanian (RO) branch, you'll get your local account details for your EUR currency account. Even after receiving your local RO IBAN, your old Lithuanian (LT) IBAN will still remain active for your existing recurring payments and Direct Debits.

With your new local EUR account details, you'll be able to set up Direct Debits in EUR, the same way you did with your previous LT IBAN. To do that, simply share your new account details with your customers, partners, and merchants.

The timeframes for both SEPA and international payments won't change.

Changes to old local IBAN

On 14 December, the old Romanian local IBAN will be deactivated for all customers for outbound transfers. To ease this transition, incoming payments sent to your old IBAN will be redirected to you until 31 December 2024.

After this date, your old IBAN will be fully deactivated, and payments sent to it will be returned to the sender. Refunds typically take 3–5 business days to process.

Once you receive your new IBAN, you'll be able to use it for any new recurring payments.

Additional information

  • Your existing bank card will continue to work seamlessly even after migrating to the Romanian branch
  • You'll retain full access to your account history, with statements showing all active IBANs for the period
  • After the migration, your new local IBAN allows you to set up Direct Debits in both RON and EUR. Simply share your updated account details with merchants
  • You can continue to use your current Lithuanian (LT) IBAN for receiving payments

Details to use for transfers in currencies other than RON

You can use your new RO IBAN for international transfers or different currencies. If in doubt, you can use this tool to check which details apply to your transfer.

Any scheduled incoming payments on your old LT IBAN will still be processed.
