Spare change and recurring Donations

What are spare change Donations?

Spare change Donations allow customers to automatically round up the spare change from Revolut card transactions and donate the rounded up amount to a charity they have chosen from the ‘Donations’ section in-app.

Customers can also apply a spare change accelerator if they wish. This will multiply any spare change by two, three, four, or even up to 10 times the amount. For spare change Donations, this increases the donation amount.

  • Rounding rules vary depending on the currency:
  • PLN and RON: rounded to the nearest multiple of 5
  • CZK, DKK, NOK, SEK, and ZAR: rounded to the nearest multiple of 10
  • HUF and JPY: rounded to the nearest multiple of 100
  • All other supported currencies: transactions are rounded to the nearest whole number

What are recurring Donations?

Recurring Donations allow customers to select a start date, frequency of donation (daily, weekly, monthly etc.), and donation amount for any charity in the Donations platform.

The donation will be made as per the schedule set by the customer.
