Income that qualifies for a loan

When we work to identify an eligible income, we're not questioning the existence of customers' monthly income, rather we're assessing the eligibility of the identified income(s) against Revolut's lending policy.

Eligibility criteria

We determine if your income is eligible based on several factors, such as:

  • Each individual income must have an average value calculated for the last 12 months (or if it isn't earned for 12 months from the date of employment) of at least 2,000 RON. This depends on age, credit score, or type of income, so‌ the minimum monthly income we request may exceed 2,000 RON
  • Your income must be reported for at least the last three months in the ANAF database by the same employer. If you registered your account in Romania but you're working abroad, your income may not be recorded in the ANAF database, so we recommend checking this with your employer
  • For incomes from PFA-type activities, you must submit income statements for the last two completed years
  • Income fluctuations may result in downward adjustments to the eligible income value
  • We carry out checks on the employing company, so an income may also be considered ineligible for reasons related to your employer

We're unable to manually verify income outside of the ANAF database, so there are no documents or information you can provide to Revolut that will change the outcome of your application if it's been rejected.
