Referrals reward requirements

To get a Referrals reward, the friend you invite to Revolut has to complete a few steps before the relevant deadline. When your invitee completes a step, it'll be marked in green in-app.

Only the person inviting friends will be eligible for the reward, unless you've received a communication directly from Revolut about being eligible for additional rewards.

Steps your invitee needs to complete


Once the invitee completes the steps they need to, all steps will be visible as completed in the 'Invite friends' section. This is except for card payments, which will only show as completed (green) once they are fully processed.

  1. Sign up: Your invitee must sign up to Revolut as a new customer using the unique referral link you've sent them. They'll need to verify their identity like all new customers. <18 customers are not eligible for our referral campaigns
  2. Add money: Next, your friend will need to add money to their Revolut account by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or bank transfer. Transfers between Revolut accounts won't count
  3. Order a physical card: Your invitee will need to order a physical card. Cards associated with Revolut Pro, Revolut <18, Revolut Business, or a Joint Account won't count
  4. Make purchases: The invitee must make a minimum number of eligible purchases with their virtual or physical Revolut card online or in-store. Purchases with Apple Pay or Google Pay will work, too

Here's some extra criteria to consider: 

  • Currency exchange transactions, transfers, gambling, and gift cards aren't considered valid purchases
  • The purchase amount needs to be greater or equal to a minimum amount visible on the 'Referrals' screen. This amount differs depending on the referrer's region
  • Some referral campaigns may require your friend to make a different number of card payments, and/or they might need to be made on separate days before the campaign ends

Check exact requirements for the active campaign

  1. Tap the profile icon in the top-left corner
  2. Select 'Invite friends' to see details of the Referrals campaign relevant to you
