Will I get a full refund for my trip or event cancellation?
Ultra cancel for any reason protection offers cover for 100% of non-refundable costs, if you have to cancel a trip purchased with your Revolut account for a reason that is specifically covered in the policy.
Cancellation reasons eligible for 100% compensation
- Death, serious injury, or sickness of plan holder, trip companion, or a family member
- Termination of your employment or a trip companion’s employment, subject to certain conditions
- A new permanent paid job is accepted and requires you or your trip companion to attend, preventing you from travelling
- Serious damage to your primary residence, within 10 days prior to your trip or event
- Theft of you or your travelling companion's documentation, preventing you from travelling
- You or your travelling companion were in a traffic accident on the departure date
Key exclusions
To qualify for 100% reimbursement, you must not be claiming for any of the following:
- Any serious illness or injury that you knew about when you booked the trip and that could have reasonably led to cancellation
- Cancellations for trips or events after you have already left your country of residence (i.e. while you're already travelling)
- Injuries or illnesses that did not require treatment from a certified doctor
- Trips or events booked for business purposes
- Any loss or problem that you knew about or expected when booking the trip, or before you purchased your Revolut Ultra plan
