Delayed trips
If your trip is delayed due to a reason covered by the policy, you may be entitled to compensation for expenses incurred.
- Premium and Metal plan holders can claim for delays of 8 hours or more
- Ultra plan holders can claim for delays of 4 hours or more
You can request €100 per hour past the minimum delay to cover your expenses, up to a maximum of 5 hours or €500. To have your claim reviewed, you’ll need to provide receipts for the costs you’re claiming for.
Missed departure
If you miss your departure for a trip abroad due to a reason covered by the policy, you may be covered for your travel and any extra accommodation costs needed to get to your destination. This cover is up to €200 per night, per insured person, for up to 5 nights.
Any extra travel or accommodation must be the same standard or class as your original booking.
Key exclusions
If you're eligible for cover, you can raise a claim directly with the insurance provider. Learn more in this FAQ. Your cover may not apply if:
- You can recover the costs from any other source, including if you're refunded with a voucher
- You didn't check in before the departure time shown on your travel itinerary
- You knew there was a strike planned before booking your trip
- You travel against government advice
- Your travel carrier cancelled your departure before your departure date
How to check your coverage
This is only a summary of your coverage. Revolut travel insurance is provided through XCover, not Revolut itself. XCover is responsible for policy terms, conditions, and claim handling.
