What is the Merchant API key and where can I find it?

An API key is a string of characters that's used to connect your Merchant account with your website or plugins. You must have an active Merchant account to use this feature. If you only intend to use payment requests or invoices, an API key is unnecessary.

Locate and generate your API key

  1. Go to 'Settings'. Web: click the cog in the top-right corner. Mobile: tap your profile icon in the top-left corner
  2. Go to 'APIs' menu
  3. Open 'Merchant API' tab
  4. Under 'Production API key', you'll find the API key
  5. Click 'Generate' to create your unique API key (only if it’s your first time using the API key)
