Accepted proof of address documents
We accept a variety of documents to verify your residential address. All documents must meet the criteria outlined in this FAQ in our Help Centre.
Supported bank documents
- Bank statements that include actual bank transactions (including online financial institutions, like Monzo, and Starling)
- Credit card statements
- Any other official correspondence from a bank
Supported residential documents
- Utility bills related to your property, such as electricity, water, gas, council tax, landline telephone, broadband, and internet bills. Mobile service bills (for example, a Vodafone bill) are not accepted
- House purchase agreement or deed
- Lease or rental agreement. These must be signed by both the landlord and tenant
Supported government documents
- Any letter or notification from the government or recognised public authorities or servants
- Receipts of pension benefits
- Receipts of unemployment benefits
- Receipts of housing benefits
Other accepted documents
- Letter from a hospital or general practitioner (GP) that includes your address
- ID, passport, driving licence, or residence permit documents that includes your address
