Revolut uses your selfie or video selfie data to verify your identity when signing up to our app. By providing a photo or video of yourself, we first verify the liveness of the customer, and then we match this information against your identity document, such as a passport, driving licence or National ID, therefore providing an extra layer of security to your account. All video selfie data is encrypted and stored securely by Revolut.
