Adding money with credit cards
Why can’t I add money using my credit card?
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has updated its guidelines on consumer protection measures for digital payment token (DPT) service providers to address risks associated with retail customers' use of DPT services.
To comply with the guidelines, Revolut will no longer allow customers to add money to their Revolut accounts using any form of credit card.
You can still add money using other methods, such as debit cards and bank transfers. To see all available top-up methods, head to your Revolut app and top up using the steps below.
How do I add money to my Revolut account?
In your Revolut app:
- Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
- Tap 'Add money'
- Follow the prompts to add money via the default top-up method or through another method
To change your top-up method, tap the drop-down button below the amount to view and select a different top-up method.
What about my previously added credit cards?
Any credit cards that were previously added as a saved top-up method will automatically be removed from your account. You'll need to add a new payment method to complete future transactions.
