Set up direct deposit for your salary
Unfortunately, most employers do not use FAST for paying salary, so you will not be able to use your Revolut Account Details to receive Salaries. If you're keen on using Revolut to manage your spending, you may be able to set up a recurring FAST payment from your main Singapore Bank Account to your Revolut account instead.
In addition, you will have to set up an External Account in order to receive transfers that will bring your Revolut account over SGD4,800.
An external account is your selected local personal bank account where excess monies above S$5,000 will be automatically transferred to at the end of the day.
This is because Revolut is regulated under the Payment Services Act (PSA) where you can only keep an end-of-day wallet balance of S$5,000. Find out more about the Payment Services Act for your wallet balance here.
