Problems with a refund
Refund is 'Waiting for funds'
A refund may take up to 5 days to be processed and credited to your account from the moment it's initiated by the merchant. The funds will appear in the Revolut app once the merchant completes the transaction on their side.
Once we're notified, the refund will appear in your upcoming payments in your Revolut app. You can view it at the top of your transactions list. If the refund is 'Waiting for funds', it means that the merchant is processing it, and it should be completed by the due date.
To view the due date, tap the transaction in your 'Upcoming payments' or 'Transactions list'.
Refund is declined or reverted
If your refund was declined or reverted, reach out to the merchant and request them to process the refund again.
Refunds on inactive or single-use cards, or a closed account
These refunds will be processed as normal, even if you used an inactive or single-use card. If the merchant requests a card, let them know that the card is no longer active and provide them with active Revolut card details.
I received less than expected
If your refund amount is less than expected, contact the merchant directly and clarify it with them. If they aren't responding, you can raise a dispute in-app. To learn how, see this FAQ.
