Cover for damaged, lost, or delayed baggage

Damaged, lost, or stolen luggage

Revolut travel insurance provides coverage for damaged, lost, or stolen baggage up to €1,000 in repair or replacement costs. Individual items are covered up to a maximum of €250, but this amount may be reduced based on the item's age or lack of an original receipt.

Lost, stolen, or damaged travel documents (such as your passport, Visa, or driving licence) may be covered up to a maximum benefit of €500.

This coverage is subject to the policy's terms and conditions and doesn’t apply to items left unattended in vehicles or public spaces. In the event of theft or loss of belongings or documents, a report must be filed with the police (and hotel management, if applicable) within 24 hours of discovery.

Delayed luggage

If your baggage is delayed for a minimum period, you can claim up to €400 per insured traveller to cover essential items needed until your baggage arrives. This benefit doesn’t apply if your baggage is delayed on your way home.

  • Premium and Metal plan holders can claim for delays of eight hours or more
  • Ultra plan holders can claim for delays of four hours or more
