Revolut <18 account management

Access the Revolut <18 account

In the main Revolut app: 

  1. Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  2. Below your balance, tap 'Accounts'
  3. Scroll down and select '<18 account'

If you need to correct your child’s date of birth, you’ll need to share their birth certificate with Revolut Support via the in-app chat.

Revolut <18 accounts are sub-accounts of your personal account and don't have bank account details.

They hold one currency, matching the parent's base currency.

Adding a co-parent

In the main Revolut app: 

  1. Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  2. Below your balance, tap 'Accounts'
  3. Choose the <18 account you want to add a co-parent to (if you have more than one <18 account linked)
  4. Tap 'Settings'
  5. Select 'Co-parent'
  6. Co-parent must accept your invitation

You can assign one co-parent at a time, with up to three reassignments allowed per calendar year. The admin parent adds a co-parent, who can top up and monitor the <18 account, but only the admin parent can withdraw funds.

To transfer ownership, close the <18 account first, then the co-parent can create a new account and become the admin parent.

You can’t add a co-parent to the <18 account on the Standard Revolut plan. You can view the plans that support Revolut <18 on our plans page.

Close the <18 account

In the main Revolut app: 

  1. Go to 'Home' on the bottom menu
  2. Below your balance, tap 'Accounts'
  3. Select your child’s <18 account
  4. Tap 'Settings'
  5. Select 'Close account'

Only the admin parent can close the account.
