Trading value limits

Minimum order value

The minimum order value is USD 1 for US stocks and ETFs and €1 for EU stocks and ETFs.

Maximum order limit

  • Buy orders: You can place orders up to USD 100,000/€100,000 for stocks, ETFs, and bonds or up to 50,000 shares if their total value is under this limit.
  • Sell orders: You can place orders up to USD 1,500,000/€1,500,000 or 50,000 shares if their total value is below this limit.

These limits can be bypassed in the case of closing out a position (selling 100% of a stock), up to a hard limit set by the broker of USD 1,500,000/€1,500,000 or 50,000 shares. To learn more about closing a stock position, go to this FAQ.

If you have Trading Pro

With our Trading Pro add-on, your order limit is increased up to USD 1,500,000 on US stocks or €1,500,000 on EU stocks, or up to a maximum of 50,000 shares if they're worth less than USD 1,500,000 on US stocks or €1,500,000 for EU stocks and ETFs.
