Travel insurance updates

As of 5th November, changes have been introduced to the travel insurance offered under Premium, Metal, and Ultra plans. A summary of these changes and their effective dates are summarised below.

Premium and Metal plan changes

  • Cover for trips will be available only for trips where you have purchased your primary transport and accommodation expenses using your Revolut Premium or Metal plan account
  • Cover for delayed transport and baggage will change to a minimum delay of 8 hours
  • Cover for maximum trip duration will change to the first 30 days within a single trip
  • Your Premium or Metal plan must be active at the time of booking your trip and must remain active (without interruption) until the end of the trip

Ultra plan changes

  • Cover for trips will only be available for trips where you purchased your primary transport and accommodation expenses using your Revolut Ultra plan account
  • Your Ultra plan must be active at the time of booking your trip and must remain active (without interruption) until the end of the trip

When is this happening? 

If you upgrade your plan after 5th of November 2024, the above terms and requirements apply to all trips.

If you upgraded your plan on or before 5th of November 2024, these changes won’t affect any trips you book before 5th December. You are eligible for cover under the previous terms (even if purchased with a non-Revolut account).
