Why is part of my Revolut X portfolio balance unavailable?

Locked balances

If you added limit orders to Revolut X, and this order is pending, the amount that you used to instruct the order will be locked to ensure that you have sufficient balance when the execution is triggered.

In case you need to use the balance for other purposes, you may cancel the pending orders before execution is triggered.

Cancelling orders

To cancel a limit order on the Revolut X web platform:

  • Go to 'Trade' on the left menu
  • Navigate to the 'Open orders' widget in the inferior side
  • Select the order under 'Open orders'
  • Tap 'x' on the right side of the pending order you aim to cancel

To cancel a limit order in the Revolut X app:

  • Tap 'Activity' on the bottom menu
  • Select the order under 'Open orders' tab
  • Tap 'Cancel' at the top of the pending order you aim to cancel
