Revolut U.S. bank charter application

What does this mean for me?

Revolut Business has officially submitted our application for a US national bank charter.

This is a major milestone in our mission to build the world’s first truly global bank, and we want to be completely transparent about what this means for you and your money. The regulatory approval process takes time, and we want to assure you that absolutely nothing is changing right now.

We'll continue to communicate with you further as the process develops.

Will this impact my account?

Your service will continue without interruption. Continuity of service is our top priority. While we go through the application process, you can continue to use your Revolut Business app, cards, and accounts exactly as you always have.

Our trusted partner bank, Lead Bank, will continue to support our operations seamlessly, ensuring your money remains safe, secure, and fully accessible. You don't need to take any action.

The future impact of a US bank charter

Becoming a bank will allow us to more directly control the products and services that we offer. Some of the benefits include:

  • Better rates and new tools: We'll offer a greater selection of products at better rates
  • A smoother experience: Expanding our product offering will enable you to manage your business finances holistically within a single, seamless ecosystem
  • FDIC insurance: Your deposits will continue to be FDIC insured

Our commitment to you

Revolut is dedicated to the US market. We're investing $500 million over the next few years to accelerate our growth and build the products you need.

Securing a bank charter is a gradual process, but as promised, we'll keep you fully updated as our application progresses, and provide detailed communication well in advance of any new features launching.

Thank you for being part of the Revolut Business journey. We can’t wait to bring you an even better, faster, and more integrated banking experience.
