Requirements for directors and beneficial owners
To open a Revolut Business account, we need to confirm the details of the directors and shareholders of your company. This policy is in line with a regulatory requirement commonly known as 'Know Your Customer’ (KYC) and is the process of a business verifying the identity of its clients.
You can invite them to submit their ID check themselves OR upload the information and (if applicable) documents on their behalf.
As a minimum, we will require the following details:
- Full name;
- Date of birth (over 18 years old);
- Residential address (at least one Controlling Officer must reside in the US);
- Phone number;
- Tax Identification Number or Social Security Number.
In certain cases we might also require:
- National ID
- Document proving person's right to reside in a region
These are all basic business-related details and all documents accepted by us together with supporting explanations are listed in our application form during the sign-up process. In some situations we may ask for additional documents. The application menu will contain all the relevant requirements we will need to fullfil in every case in order to be compliant with the correspondent regulatory requirement.
Please note that this is a requirement and we're only verifying their identities as directors/ shareholders of the company. For you to give them access to the account, you still need to invite them when your application is accepted.
