Declined credit card application

Common reasons an application may be denied

Credit card applications may be declined for a number of reasons, depending on your individual circumstances and for reasons in line with Revolut's internal policies. Some common reasons include, but are not limited to:

  • Your current level of debt
  • Low disposable income
  • Adverse information on your credit history

If you've been denied for a Revolut credit card, you'll receive an Adverse Action Notice via email from us explaining why and instructions for how to get a copy of your Credit Bureau report, if needed.

Can I reapply if my application was declined?

If your application was declined, we don't recommend applying again unless your circumstances have changed or the previous information you provided was incorrect. You’ll be eligible to reapply 30 days after your last application.

As we're still in the process of launching Credit Cards in the US, the option to apply may not be available to everyone just yet.
